At Amerijet, we’ve been moving animals by air for more than 40 years, and we know there’s a lot that goes into getting an animal from one destination to another. That’s why we focus on the details that matter, from booking and documentation to handling, security, and tracking. Their comfort and security are our responsibility, so we follow the strict IATA Live Animal Regulations for our live animal shipments and make sure each animal receives the appropriate care.
Through our international pet shipping services, you can ship a variety of animals, including pets, poultry, hatching eggs and baby chicks, livestock, tropical fish, and zoo animals. We also handle high-value animals such as thoroughbred horses that require extra careful planning and attention. Our trained personnel make sure each animal is handled according to its species and specific needs.
We use climate-controlled, ventilated cargo holds to provide suitable conditions throughout the flight, with special care given to the animal’s comfort and safety. We also use secure handling procedures and restricted access to keep live animals secure while they’re in our care.

Expert Support: Our team helps you with the booking and documentation process, so you can prepare the required paperwork in advance and understand the customs requirements at the destination.
Trained Personnel: We have trained personnel who work with live animal shipments and understand the additional care these shipments require at the airport.
Regulatory Compliance: All animals are transported in full compliance with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Live Animal Regulations.
Charter Availability Options: Some animals need different travel arrangements because of their size, number, or specific requirements. Our charter options give you more flexibility when a standard scheduled service isn’t the right fit.
Animal Handlers: Some live animal shipments may need an animal handler to accompany them. When required, we allow an animal handler to accompany the shipment and provide attention based on the animal’s need.
Strict Security: We place strict security measures, including surveillance, restricted access, and secure personnel, to safeguard all animals.
Monitoring: As your shipment moves through the transportation process, we track it in real-time so we get complete visibility into where the shipment is. This also helps us identify any delays or issues that may need attention.

What Do You Need to Ship Animals Internationally?
Before sending your animal for international shipping, there are a few requirements you need to take care of. These can vary based on the type of animal, where it's coming from, and where it's going. Sorting the paperwork and travel arrangements early can make the process much easier and stress-free.
International Health Certificate
A veterinarian may need to certify that your pet is healthy and fit to travel, with USDA endorsement required for some destinations.
Vaccination Records
Some countries require proof of vaccinations, such as rabies, before your pet can enter.
Laboratory Test Results
Certain destinations may ask for blood tests or other lab results before allowing your pet into the country.
Import Permit
Some countries require an import permit before your pet can enter, so check this before booking the shipment.
USDA Endorsement
If required by the destination, your USDA-accredited veterinarian can submit the health certificate to USDA APHIS for endorsement.
Airline & Shipping Documents
You’ll also need the paperwork required to book and move your pet by air.
