COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (Oct. 3, 2025) – Amerijet International and Food For The Poor (FFTP) joined forces on Saturday, Oct. 4, to pack 1,000 school supply kits for children in FFTP’s Angels Of Hope program, strengthening a partnership rooted in shared compassion and service.
The supplies, donated and purchased by Amerijet team members, will benefit vulnerable children across Latin America and the Caribbean, giving them the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond. Around 25 Amerijet employees participated in the packing event from 10 to 12 p.m. on Saturday at FFTP’s headquarters in Coconut Creek.
This activity coincides with National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to honor the resilience, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic communities, as well as the independence days of several Latin American countries.
“Amerijet is proud to partner with Food For The Poor to help children in the communities we serve.” said Joe Mozzali, CEO, Amerijet International Airlines. “We believe true impact takes more than a donation. We wanted to roll up our sleeves and be there in person offering our time, effort, and care to help inspire brighter futures.”
FFTP’s Angels Of Hope program offers safe havens for vulnerable children who have faced extreme poverty, abandonment, abuse, or the threat of human trafficking. Angels Of Hope sponsors 8,228 children living in 87 children’s homes in Haiti, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru, where they receive food, clothing, shelter, education, and love. The school supply kits packed by Amerijet employees will help these children thrive academically while reminding them they are not forgotten.
“At Food For The Poor, our work is grounded in the values we share with the people of Latin America and the Caribbean — faith, family, resilience, and generosity,” said FFTP Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Jeff Alexander. “We are deeply grateful for Amerijet’s partnership and the commitment of its employees, who are helping transform lives through the gift of education.”
Amerijet’s relationship with FFTP spans nearly a decade:
- December 2024 – Amerijet donated $20,000 to FFTP in honor of its customers, helping impoverished families during the holiday season.
- May 2024 – The airline transported 3,600 hygiene kits from FFTP partner Heart to Heart International to Haiti, through a humanitarian air bridge in partnership with Airlink.
- 2022 – Amerijet donated $10,000 to support FFTP’s relief efforts.
- 2016 – Amerijet funded a home for a family in Haiti and supported disaster relief after Hurricane Matthew.
