Team Amerijet ran the 2025 MIA RUNWAY 5K 🏃♂️✈️🏃♀️🥇
On Saturday morning, members of our incredible Amerijet Team laced up their running shoes and took on the 2025 MIA RUNWAY 5K, racing down the 8,600-foot-long runway 8L-26R at Miami International Airport (MIA)!
More than 3,500 participants and spectators enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run at one of America’s busiest airports for international passengers and freight including 30 of our very own team members! Not only is MIA the busiest airport, but it’s also the leading economic engine for Miami-Dade County and the state of Florida, generating $31.9 billion in annual business revenue.
The event location was as unique as the 5K course itself, hosted inside the 25,000 sq. ft. American Airlines Maintenance Hangar at the end of the runway.
This 5k event also supported a meaningful cause: the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign, which helps fund education, prevention, early detection, and patient support programs.
A huge THANK YOU to our dedicated team for your grit and commitment and a special shout-out to our team members who placed top 10 for Team Amerijet!
