SAN LUIS TALPA, El Salvador – (October 15, 2025) – Amerijet International announced its support of the continued growth and modernization of El Salvador’s air cargo section as Adimex, a subsidiary of the Honduras-based EMCO Group, invests $13.5 million to expand the cargo terminal at El Salvador’s International Airport, San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez.

The expansion is part of a broader $62 million public-private partnership agreement with the Comision Ejecutiva Portuaria Autonoma (CEPA), El Salvador’s port authority. The project is divided into two phases, with clearly defined investment and capacity expansion goals to guide its execution and development. The project will double the terminal’s annual cargo capacity from 26,000 to 52,000 metric tons by adding new refrigerated storage, eight additional docks, automated cargo handling systems for phase 1 of the expansion project.

As the largest air carrier transporting cargo to and from El Salvador, Amerijet plays a key role in supporting the country’s trade growth and strengthening regional logistics.

“El Salvador is a strategic location for Amerijet. The investment in the country’s airport infrastructure to facilitate air cargo movements is critical to all parties’ future growth expectations,” said Joe Mozzali, CEO of Amerijet International.

Amerijet’s consistent service and commitment to operational excellence align with CEPA and Adimex’s shared vision of positioning El Salvador as a leading logistic hub in the Americas.

Together, these developments enhance El Salvador’s air cargo capacity, streamline import/export operations and strengthened connectivity across the Americas with Amerijet continuing to lead as the region’s trusted cargo partner.
