Experience Fuels Excellence at Amerijet’s Miami Warehouse

DATE: 12/01/22

Amerijet International Airline’s Miami warehouse facility is a central part of its cargo operation. The strategically organized 360,000-square-foot facility is under 24-hour surveillance, and integrated with SmartKargo, Amerijet’s cloud-based cargo management solution. The airline has made significant investments in integrating and updating warehouse management technology to increase handling efficiency. This integration maximizes shipment transparency and provides customers with easy tracking.

Integrated technology systems standardize Amerijet’s warehouse processes and enable the company’s experienced and knowledgeable team members to ensure that every customer’s cargo is properly handled, safely packaged, and quickly shipped to the correct destination.

Teamwork is an essential part of moving cargo shipments and proper training minimizes risks. Lead Warehouse Cargo Handler Hayden Dixon expressed that “in our field you always need to have a team mentality, and let your work speak for you.” Every Amerijet warehouse employee wears the appropriate safety gear and is continuously trained on how to manage different commodity types including dangerous goods and temperature-sensitive cargo.

Cargo Handler, Angel Del Valle has served Amerijet for 12 years, with both his brother and father having also worked for the company. Angel values his team’s experience. “Most people working during my shift have been with Amerijet for more than 10 years and diversity has increased,” stated Angel. “New employees benefit from the level of experience at our warehouse because they can be mentored by multiple people. There is a great camaraderie among our teams.”

Amerijet has been in operation for almost 50 years and understands that to provide customers with the best experience it must be innovative, listen, and constantly improve operations. The company’s global network, skilled teams and expanding fleet will continue to give the cargo airline a soaring advantage.
