Sr. Director, Flight Operations

Alex Bell joined Amerijet in June of 2023 as Director of Flight Training and was quickly promoted to Senior Director of Flight Operations in September of the same year.  In this role, he leads a dedicated team responsible for overseeing various aspects of flight operations, including the Chief Pilot’s office, Pilots, Crew Resources, Operation Control Center, Flight Training, and Compliance. He also serves as the FAA-designated CFR Part 119 Director of Operations.

Bell has over 35 years of aviation industry experience. He began his airline career as a pilot with the original Eastern Airlines and retired from US Airways/American Airlines. Alex has held several leadership positions throughout his career, including Check Pilot, Director of Training, and Assistant Chief Pilot at Emirates Airlines. As a Senior Flight Operations Inspector for Hong Kong Civil Aviation, he oversaw flight operations at Cathay Pacific Airlines. Alex has accumulated 20,000 flight hours across a range of aircraft, including the 737, 757/767, 777, and A320.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Science, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Aviation Management. Alex and his wife Annette are residents of Sarasota, Florida.
