Captain Steven Mathis joined Amerijet in 2015 as a line pilot. During the course of his career Steven held various training and management positions for such airlines as Air Tahoma, Capital Cargo International Airlines, Air Transport International, and Air Choice One. His qualifications include a current Airline Transport Pilot certificate with type ratings in the B727, B757, B767, Convair 580, Convair 240/340/440, and Shorts SD-3. Steven has served as B757/B767 Captain, Check Airman, and simulator instructor with over 5000 hours in type and continues to serve in that capacity today.
As Director of Flight Operations for Amerijet, Steven is responsible for the management of worldwide daily flight operations pertaining to aircraft operations, policies and procedures, pilot qualifications and Federal Aviation Regulation compliance.
Prior to joining Amerijet, Steven flew with Air Transport International as a B757/B767 Check Airman where he participated in 757/767 ETOPS certification, the 757 combi freighter program, and contract flying with the Department of Defense into Afghanistan.
Steven relocated to Florida from Tennessee after he joined Amerijet, and was accompanied by his Wife Jamie and their three children Samantha, Willie, and Annabelle.
